SNCB Class 25 locomotives are a type of electric locomotive used by the SNCB/NMBS. These locomotives were eking out an existence on freight and commuter trains. By 2009 the whole class had been withdrawn.
In 1973 a programme to modify 8 class 25 locos to also be able to operate in the Netherlands was undertaken. This included fitting of 1500 V electrical equipment and various safety modifications. These locos were classified as class 25.5.
